During our prime time of the year, when everything is going at warp speed, there is always the thought of January and February. Those are the months when most photographers have their "down time". That's what keeps us going 7 days a week for 2 months. DOWN TIME!! However, once January arrives, we realize that there is no down time. We spend a couple of days cleaning out closets, hard drives, filing paperwork and backing up everything we just did for the last 3 months. Then, we immediately start to think... what's next? Oh, my gosh, I need to write my newsletter, prepare my 2008 marketing plan, and WOW, it's time for Valentines day!
Forget the stacks of paper on my desk, the accounting that needs to be updated, the dreaded "need to read" box, and the last 3 issues of Professional Photographer magazine I want to go through. I need to plan some special events for my clients. They are counting on me to come up with some awesome ideas to capture their families before their kids are another year older. So, I dig in my thinking box and pull out an idea that I have been wanting to put together since my daughter was born 4 years ago. It is an awesome idea and I can't wait to share it with you! I have sent out letters to a few select families to serve as models. I had an overwhelming response. Which just tells me that I have been neglecting all of my little tot clients. I'm sorry for that, but I think this will make it up to you. Watch our blog and our specials page of our website for more detials.
